HAE Canada is proud to present the first of their Canadian Speaker Series, a fireside chat with the founder and chairman of Social Capital Partners, Bill Young!
This is your opportunity to join HAE Canada for an informal and interactive discussion with one of the leading voices promoting social finance in Canada. Bill's work has included everything from incubating social enterprises, to applying innovative social finance techniques to help people facing barriers to employment find good jobs, to financing employee ownership of successful companies.
This is a free virtual event open to all, with the evening’s talk being about a different form of entrepreneurship and its potential to create a better world, followed by a Q&A

About Bill Young
Bill founded Social Capital Partners in 2001, and has been one of the leading voices in promoting social finance in Canada. He also sits on a variety of boards and advisory boards for social enterprises and community organizations. Bill previously spent 20 years in the private sector, primarily as CEO of Hamilton Computers and Optel Communications Corp (later Axxent). He holds an Honours BA from the University of Toronto, an MBA from the Harvard Business School, and is a Chartered Accountant. In 2013, Bill was appointed as a member of the Order of Canada for his achievements as a social entrepreneur and philanthropist.
